Rococos References
Baroque reflects the complexity of its era; it is an art form characterised by drama, exuberance and, above all, contradictions: contrasts between light and shadow, the earthly and the divine, the rational and the emotional. That is why I have used some antagonistic elements to highlight how architectural grandeur and visual pomp, with their great power of persuasion, were instruments of power in the hands of the Catholic Church and absolute monarchies to impress and subjugate, reinforcing the message of a hierarchical and immutable order.
