The maps of Medell\u00edn produced by the Agust\u00edn Codazzi Geographical Institute between 1971 and 1985 are not merely geographical representations; they symbolise an era marked by violence: the forced conscription of young people, bomb attacks and daily terror.
The columns of smoke drawn in charcoal on the maps allude to the explosions in the valley, visible and audible from the mountains. The silhouettes represent the lost generation, who, instead of dreaming, were dragged into war. Every line and every shadow is a cry against oblivion, for stories of violence, if forgotten, are bound to repeat themselves.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
